Hi Neil,
I originally got the IR going for this card in a patch i sent to the
mailing list on 22 Feb 2005, so any of the old snapshots from
bytesex.org should have the support added. I was running it against a
2.6.10 kernel I think; although theres a slight chance it could have
been 2.6.9. But, in any case, if you use the driver from bytesex.org
rather than the kernel version you will hopefully have some luck.
Did you check recent kernels for your patch? Gerd keeps saying "the cvs
tree at cvs.bytesex.org is *not* the "master copy" of the video4linux
subsystem any more. For the time being it is the 2.6 standard kernel."

Hi
Slightly off topic, so apologies, but does anyone know which in
kernel version remote control support for cx88 cards was added. Im
using 2.6.9 (-1.667 FC3) patched with All-2.6.9-rc4.diff.gz, the card
works fine but the remote control isnt detected. I tried 2.6.11 (FC3
again) and the remote control was picked up. Theres a cx88-input.c
in the 2.6.11 code, but not in 2.6.9. Unfortunately I cant get
mythtv to work the the later kernel so Im stuck with 2.6.9. Any
ideas on how to get the remote working?
Thanks
Neil
